This is why I love Rachel Maddow. She gets down to brass tacks.
Bottom line: If the Democrats lose the Senate in 2014, it will totally be the fault of the Democratic politicians and the voters who do not go out and earn that title.
There is nothing going on in the country today that would warrant returning the “leaders” who have spent six years in a sabotage effort against the entire government to power in that government. There is only a lot of Obama hate, Democrat hate and general hysteria and misinformation.
Democrats are known for not going to the polls in off years. If we continue that pattern, we have no right to complain about anything that happens in Washington after November. We will have handed it over to the Republicans and we deserve what we get.
Swing voters need to pick a side and realize that there are no essentially no moderates in either party and that the extreme Republicans are much crazier and scarier and less interested in the average person than the Democrats have ever dreamed of being in their darkest moments.
And Democratic candidates have to stop being such monumental weenies. America is far, far, far, far, far better off in 2014 than it was in 2008, Obamacare is working. If you’ve read me at all, you know I hate this expression, but it’s time to use it. When the Republicans attack, the Democrats need to actually say “Fuck you! You don’t care about the American people. You don’t care about the U.S. Government. You are the problem. You have to go.”
That may mean they don’t win, but that takes us back to the voters. If we don’t support the people who believe in what we believe in, we don’t deserve good government. We don’t deserve anything but the scraps the GOP throws us.
I’ll be voting. Will you?
